I was just curious who your QB's are?

I saw in the Springfield paper that the QB they have is having a great year. Said he was on the Peoria Ruffriders until he failed a health test. Word around here is there is no semi-pro ball this summer in springfeild. You guys should try and get that guy, and some of his teammates. I know he has amazing WR's too

Thanks,

the bears had the famously known dom salvo and if u believe the hype about the roughriders you will buy anything somebody sells. i am sure the bears will do without dom salvo and his little buddy herb fullerton. good luck bears

It was in the paper and on the Rough Riders website. You sir, are jealous. Also, looks like he and his boys took it to the Outlaws yesterday! When was the last time a Decatur QB beat the Outlaws?

well if u notice dom salvo didnt pass a physical. Also note the stallions played in the pccc which the outlaws were at a real disadvantage there. Out on a regulation 8fl feild the outlaws win that game hands down. The bears have guys in upper management that know all out how he is as a player. There are quarterbacks in decatur you just have to look around and recruit. good luck in the upcoming season and we'll see ya'll real soon ya hear.

Mr. Salvo is a disappointment- He played for the bears and was terrible- stick with remo and brad fellas or anybody else but him unless he improves 75%

Are we still talking about the same guy? In the paper it said this was his first season. And that he played 11-man with the Outlwas last year, not the Bears. Terrible is about the dumbest thing I have heard. I think the talent around him if he did play for the Bears might have been his downfall. He is a TON on the field when he isn't hurt, which has not been much this year. He might need to toughen up a bit, but when he is healthy, he is head and shoulders better than any QB from Decatur

u might want to see him play in person then because he isnt that great. I've seen both remo and dom play and i will hands down pick remo to lead my squad over dom.

well i guess if you want a qb that practices all spring training then bails before the season i say go with dom. If you want someone who might actually play a few games or the whole season you have to go with remo.

Didn't he end up coming back to the Bears last season?

i dont think that ever happened....he's all hype...just look around and you will see the stallions who lost to an average team are going to try and go pro next season...what a joke for the town of springpatch haha

If the team from Macomb is average, then what is Decatur, because the Macomb squad would mop up on the Bears. Whether Salvo is good or not, I was jut offering some suggestions to help out the only 11-man team in the area from not being an embarrassment again! Salvo is a good player, but the players around him are great too! And that is what I was trying to get across!

I know that Dom and Herb were personally responsible for last years' debacle of a season.  They both were a part of the Bears and then decided to go to Capital City less than 3 weeks before we were supposed to play them.  They took players that were already penciled in as starters and left us with very little as far as talent.  That move led to the demise of the Springfield Bucs/Capital City Outlaws, a team that should still be in the league.  Herb and Dom did come back in the last couple of games only because the Bears would have had to forfeit their games.  Dom still runs his mouth on websites and creates controversy.  The Decatur Bears need an offensive leader that makes people want to play offense.  Every year, almost every player comes out and says that they only want to play defense.  Remo Clark could be an awesome player but he self destructs and leaves a horrible taste in the mouth of players, coaches, and the fans.  I hope that the Bears are going to be good.  I believe in Coach Aaron Brown.  He knows what it takes to win and the Bears should contend in a weak league.  I will be at some of the games so I hope to see an improved team.

a WEAK league ? if it's so weak then why are you here ? maybe because it's you who is weak ? i'm sure all the other teams in the league will be contenders also so dont get too excited. I'm sure it will be an exciting year in the mfl and i expect to see alot of close games. There has been alot of recruiting going on across the mfl and it looks pretty promising for a few teams. EFF has picked up a few ballers and i have also heard jax got quite a few of the better players from cic....so all in all it's going to be a great year for all the teams so let's go out and bash some heads and have fun and a few of us who actually get along will have a few beers afterwards. good luck on the upcoming season bears....cant wait to see you on the field.

I was just saying the league is weaker because the Midstate Steel, Lafayette Lions, Belleville Justice, the storm are gone.  If you look at the teams still in the league,  none have beent to the playoffs in years.  If you got a problem with that, get a reality check.  I did not say anything derogatory towards any team.  I no longer play but I still love semi-pro football.  I think that the MFL will be competitive at a local level but not the national level because the league has really become a class A semi-pro league.  Good luck to all teams and everyone stay healthy.

Hey Burtabi,

I played in the league for 8 years.  I can talk as much **** as I want.  I was not attacking anyone or any team.  It is dumb ignorant posts such as yours that make people dislike semi-pro football.  You take things way to personally.  I respect that you are sticking up for the league or your team.  I know more about the league than you probably think.  So please, let's not turn this into some macho pissing match that will ultimatley turn more people away from the sport we both love.

So back to the main subject. Who are you Qb's?

When was a Decatur Bear QB ever paid to play?

Dom Salvo would have played for Peoria if his shoulder was better. I talked to Chuck Goodwin Head Coach of the Roughriders after, he said he would have played and started but since his shoulder wasn't healed enough, they had to release him. Since the season is over for the 8FL he has called me and dom to see if he could play, but left it up to Dom.

As for the Outlaws, football is football wither its a 100 yard field or a 50 yard field. your offense got stopped and your Defense got picked appart by Dom.

As for the Bears Dom did play against Effingham and threw for over 200 yards and 3 TD's. but the Prob was the D couldn't stop them.

As for Dom not that Great. you bet he wasn't that good last year, but you put the best receivers in the 8FL league he did a heck of a job.

So if any of you Bears think you have what it takes to play at the next level and get paid to play something you love.

Tryouts will be in Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec. go to our web site and check for updates.

Thanks and good luck this year

I just looked up the scores from the last few years and Decatur hasn't scored more than 12 points against Effingham in 3 games. So I don't think your boy threw for 200 yards and 3 tds against Effingham last year. Sorry .

Dom picked us apart?  What, on the 3 plays he had against us?  Herb, you are a total dick.  You ran players off from Decatur because you have the social skills of a snake.  Dan Eck was the QB for the Outlaws when we played them.  Our defense got picked apart every game because we played 45 minutes out of 60 every week because the offensive coordinator left the team and took the qb, wr, and running back to Springfield.  Go back to living under a rock.  Life is good when you are forgotten about.

Outlaws vs the Stallions dom picked their D appart. not the Bears.

WoW

when I went back to Springfield was because Jessica was on Bed rest and then she had a miscarriage latter that month. Dom and Jamie went I had nothing to do with the RB.

Oh well

He may have thrown 2 to Jamie Ford. I think that accounts for the 12 points. I think he threw a couple of picks also. And maybe Effingham can't hold the

stallions jocks but who would want to. As for playing against Effingham you were invited to participate in the MFL and you said you didnt have time. Probably because you were to busy causing trouble in the 8fl.

I will crawl back under my rock, you jealous hater.  I, at least, posted my name.  I remember now why semi-pro football gets old.  Maybe it is because most players have huge egos until it comes to posting their name on message boards.  Where I come from, that is called being a chicken Sh!t.  If that offends you, OH WELL.

Hey guys, just to let you know, those posts by herb are most likely Dom himself typing them. He tends to embelish a little bit. As for picking the outlaws apart I laugh at that. He got lucky on two passes and all the other times the ball never went more that 3 yards. Tony Carey tore us apart yes, but dom salvo NO! Sorry to have to bring the truth out. Good luck this year bears and if you guys are interested in the 8fl next year we would love to have you guys out there. Its great practice for the MFL season. Once again good luck guys. I hope to catch a game.
