Wasn't the cougars in the league before and left because kenny couldn't field a team along with his players making him look bad? I also thought that the panthers were tired of getting beat on that's why they were unsure of coming back. The Sharks couldn't field enough people to make a good game against themselves let alone any team in the league not sure why these teams were selected . I thought the league was trying to get better and go forward and not in reverse back to it's old ways. I don't think you will be able to bring in quality teams when you are going to have the same problems as before with the quality of teams.
The MFL needs to rebuild yes but Coop, and Randy, or who ever is in charge need not jump on the first teams that wiggle funny. Take your time and make the right choice .
hey old schooler the panthers are 5-2-1 against the teams that were mentioned above. and as far as being tired of getting beat, the only teams we haven't won against are the fury 0-1, the saints0-1, and the lions0-4. the rest of the old mfl teams we have beaten at least once.
Because I busted my ass to get this team started with my partners is why. I'll show up to defend my team anywhere or anytime. And I don't know what position you play, but if you are not a d-lineman and i play next season, line up on the other side. Then you'll know why I have to right to come on to your site and put a post on your board.
Anyone who knows Todd already feels sorry for Mr. B. All kidding aside it looks like a good rebuild with teams from comparable size towns. Yes Decatur has 100k or so but for some reason can't get the players like they should be able to....work schedules, etc. always compromise it. Should be a fun time without some of the trash talking a-holes from up north.
I think I'll come back just to play against you. By the way, I am training for an amateur UFC event in August, if you want to work something out on that end I would be happy to oblige as well. I am always looking for good sparring competition instead of just people that talk too much. But then again, I am sure you are not one of those, right?

This is an entertaining post. I have lined up against Todd and he is definetly a strong player. One of our guys is doing some Ultimate Fighting of some kind. His name is Titus Taylor, you can check him out at finneyschampionshipkickboxing.com The last guy that got into the ring with him lasted :23 seconds...yeah Titus is a stud. Regarding the MFL, I think it is a great thing to see the MFL retool and bring in teams that are of like talent. Not trying to offend anyone, but its tough for Jacksonville to line up against a city like St. Louis or a big college town. You guys should have some good competition inside that league and if you want to branch out, I am sure some of the old MFL teams will put you on schedule. The Fury will welcome any of your challenges, as a matter of fact we have Central Illinois on schedule in the preseason. My predictions for this years MFL 1. Effingham 2. Central Illinois 3. Decatur 4. SIUE 5. Jacksonville (sorry guys, but you may get a few W's in the column) Good luck to everyone and Todd when is your first fight? Would love to check that **** out!
Not trying to scare anyone. Just having a little fun, that's all. You know we can do some of this on our site if you want. just put a post on there and do a little picking at me or the team and I am usually pretty quick to respond. Hey Jake! What's up? Are you keeping busy in New Orleans? I am teaching at the Twin Dragons dojo in Saint Elmo. I get to go out to Washington in August and meet Maurice Smith and Matt Hume and maybe train with them. Matt runs the AMC Pankration school in Aberdeen, and is as big PRIDE promoter. I got an invite to an amateur PRIDE event on March 18, but I'm too fat and out of shape just yet. As soon as I drop 50 I will be ready, so I am starting to work hard. Dennis Hallman is hosting amateur UFC events in Washington. He's the guy that took out Matt Hughes in 20 seconds at UFC 29. He has trained with some of our guys in Washington, so will are going to be getting into that arena as well. I will probably get the crap kicked out of me, who knows. I am just trying to do as much fun and exciting stuff as I can before I am too old and crusty to do anything. Hell, I am about there already.
Coop, we have a spot open on the 29th of July, but that is the only break we have in a 13 game schedule. We can try and do something after our playoffs are over, that would be sometime in September, before national stuff. We would love to pick up a game with Effingham as well, if you guys are interested Todd. I am actually just about to pack up my computer toss my bed and clothes in the back of a uhaul trailer and head back to St.Louis. I have been here in New Orleans since October and spent September in Mississippi. They wanted me to stay a couple of more months, but I told them they were nuts! Its football season! Plus, all of those nasty storms that hit a few weeks ago has provided quite a bit of potential work for me. If any of you guys know folks that need roof/siding repairs done from tornado or hail damage, send them my way. I will make sure they get taken care of well and of course make a donation to your favorite charity (you or your football team). It does not matter where they live, I will travel to see them. Todd, 50lbs??? Dude what happened were you attacked by the hamburgler? Its been a couple of years but I dont remember you being that healthy...your sounding like a real lineman now. Actually I want to drop about 50lbs myself, I am tipping the scales at 325 right now...not a good look for me. On the other hand I have been hitting sets of 10 with 315 on the bench, so its not all bad. You guys let me know if we can do anything in September, obviously it cant be set in stone just yet, but we can arrange something tentatively. A road game would be preferable for us...we already have 9 home events planned.
As of 3- 14-06, he is ranked 10th by the International Sport Combat Federation (ISCF) in the amateur division. Looks like he is pursuing a dream of no-holds barred fighting.
Titus, last fight lasted another whoping 20 seconds. His opponent attempted to kick him, Titus grabbed both of his legs and began slamming the guy into the mat repeadetly until he tapped out. Get in the ring with that animal? no thanks! Coop/Todd towards the end of the season our last two home games are against brand new teams, not sure if they will still be hanging on, so if there is some room we might be able to line up against some of your MFL teams. Thanks for your vote of confidence on the Jacksonville Sharks team. As of May 28, 2006, I took over the Jacksonville Sharks team. I'm going to develop a master plan on setting this team organized. Sure, there will be the old faces in that organization, as well as some new faces. I'm going to have a better year here in MFL. I'm going to bust my butt to get all this done for this year, and the team won't revisit the past, and I'm going to disallow that. I just want the Sharks to regain what we lost in the past 3 years, and I'm going to make it happen. Want to bring it out in positive manner. I'm looking forward to a good 2006 season if I can get everything together by August!
